A record book for the money side of one home purchase, and nothing else: blank record pages compiled from your own documents, quote records copied from your own enquiries, an index, and notes. You copy every figure yourself, from your own records, in your own words — the book calculates nothing, totals nothing and compares nothing.
This is a planning tool, not financial advice — it does not tell you what a home should cost, how much to put down, or how to buy one; you copy every figure yourself, from your own records, in your own words.
Each record page holds one line per item: the date you wrote it, the item in your own words, and the amount you copied. The quote record holds quotes in the same lines, with the name you wrote beside each. A sample row shows the shape of an entry, and its amount column is blank, like every amount in the book. The index lists each entry with the page it lives on, so a figure can be traced back to the page it was copied onto. Write a nickname for anything you would rather not name in full, and keep the printed pages somewhere private — no page asks for an account number or any login.
Not the same shelf as its neighbours: the House Down Payment Savings Planner (P-060) is a spreadsheet savings planner with target and set-aside pages; this is a printable blank record compilation — no savings pages, nothing set aside by instruction. The Mortgage Extra-Payment Accelerator (P-043) is a spreadsheet calculator; this record book contains none of that subject matter at all, by design — its pages are copies from the buyer’s own documents, and nothing else. The Moving Budget Planner (P-259) is a moving-expense record; this is a homebuying-expense record — the two share no pages.
