A starter kit that is only blank forms: money-in pages, money-out pages, period pages and notes. You write every entry in your own words and every amount by hand — the kit prints no categories, no splits and no amounts.
This is a planning tool, not financial advice — it does not teach a budgeting method and does not tell you how much to earn, save or spend; you write every entry in your own words and write every amount yourself.
A parent or guardian may keep the book together with the teen, and the Start Here page says so. The privacy rule is printed there too: first name or nickname only — never a full name, a school name, an employer name, an address, or any account detail — and keep the printed pages somewhere private. A sample row shows the shape of an entry, and its amount column is blank, like every amount in the kit. The period pages are dated by the writer: a period is exactly as long as its two written dates say.
Not the same shelf as its neighbours: the Biweekly Budget Planner (P-245) runs on a two-week period system; this kit has no period system — blank starter record pages only. The Paycheck Budget Planner (P-242) pairs bills with paydays and prints a sample with figures filled in; this kit’s sample rows carry no figures at all. The Kids’ Money Management Workbook (P-252) is kept by a parent or guardian for a younger child; this book is the teen’s own record, kept with a parent or guardian if they like — the difference is who keeps the book.
