Notary Signing Agent Fee Tracker

Original price was: $24.95.Current price is: $16.95.

Signing-agent money is small fees and long drives: a $150 appointment can be a good signing or a poor one, and the difference is almost never the fee — it is the miles and the printed pages that came with it. This tracker is a fee log built for that shape: one row per signing, the fee typed once, and travel and printing costed from your own typed rates, so every signing shows what it truly netted.

This is a fee log only. It states no notary law, no fee caps or schedules, no journal or ID-verification requirements and no compliance rules for any jurisdiction, and it makes no tax or deduction claims — mileage and printing appear strictly as cost figures in your own arithmetic. Fixed business costs (platform fees, supplies, insurance) live only on the Expense Log, never inside a signing’s costs, so a signing’s net is never quietly loaded with overhead.

The sample log holds five signings and $595.00 of fees. The highest fee, a long-distance refinance package at $175.00, nets $82.80 — LESS than a mid-fee refinance at $150.00 that nets $91.40, because 110 typed miles cost more than the extra $25.00 of fee. The signing that nets the most is the short local one: a $110.00 purchase signing, 8 miles away, nets $100.80. And one signing comes out under water: the Hospital Signing’s $65.00 fee against 55 miles, 120 printed pages and $22.00 of other costs nets -$1.65, flagged in the open — and it is still Awaiting Payment on its typed status, named as the slow payer with $65.00 still out.

Across the log: 263 miles, $144.65 of travel cost, $76.20 of printing, $338.65 of net. The Paid or Awaiting tab prices the paper honestly: across the collected signings, each printed page earned $0.66 after printing, travel and other signing costs came off the fees.

HOW IT WORKS
– ‘Signing Log’: one row per signing appointment — signing and assignment source in your own words, date, typed fee. Travel cost = typed miles × your typed mileage rate; printing cost = typed printed pages × your typed cost per page; net calculates per signing.
– One typed payment status per signing (Paid / Awaiting Payment) — statuses are typed, never worked out from dates.
– ‘Paid or Awaiting’: the log grouped by that typed status — fees, printing, travel + other, printed pages and what each printed page earned — plus fees collected, fees awaiting, and the highest fee and any money-losing signing named.

WHAT’S INSIDE
– A per-signing fee log: fee − travel − printing − other costs = net, one row per appointment
– Mileage-heavy by design: miles are a first-class column, costed at your typed rate (example setting)
– The honest splits, printed: the highest fee ($175.00) nets less than a mid-fee signing ($91.40) after its long drive; the short local signing nets the most ($100.80)
– A signing that lost money, flagged plainly (−$1.65), and still named as the slow payer on its typed status
– A per-printed-page figure across the collected signings ($0.66 a page on the sample)
– Plus the standard Expense Log, zero-based Monthly Budget, Dashboard and Monthly Summary tabs

Every fee, mile count, page count, rate and cost in this workbook is an example setting you type — the sheet does arithmetic on your figures only, and never tells you what to charge.

How it works: the seven tabs are Start Here (your settings + step-by-step), the two feature tabs, Expense Log, Monthly Budget (zero-based), Dashboard and Monthly Summary. Yellow cells are the only places you type — every yellow value is your own entry. Formula cells are locked (password: sheetdaily, disclosed on the Start Here tab) and every formula is error-wrapped, so an untouched sheet reads blank instead of showing error codes. Instant download, ready for Excel and Google Sheets.

A note on the sample data: every price and date in this workbook is example data, typed in by hand to show you how the sheet behaves. Replace it with your own.
