Musician Gig Income Tracker

Original price was: $21.95.Current price is: $13.95.

The band got $1,800 for the wedding. Your split was $450 — before 86 miles of driving, $25 of gear costs, four hours on stage and two in rehearsal. What you actually earned: $386.30, at $64.38 an hour. Meanwhile your solo pub set netted $374.20 in half the total hours — $93.55 an hour. This tracker does that math for every gig: fee × your split %, minus travel at YOUR per-mile cost, minus gear/backline and other gig costs, divided by gig hours plus rehearsal. The sample month: $5,800 of band fees become $2,450 of your gross and $2,169.05 of your net — $63.80/hr blended, with 4 of 8 gigs below the $60 target.

What it does for you:
– Your split, applied per gig: 100% for solo and session work, your band share for band gigs — the fee stops being the headline and your gross becomes the starting number.
– Every gig cost attached to the gig: travel miles costed at your own per-mile rate (an example setting you enter — your car, your number), gear and backline hire, parking and strings, all deducted before anyone calls it income.
– Effective $/hr with rehearsal counted: prep and rehearsal hours sit in the rate, so the “great” gig with two rehearsals shows its real price — in the sample the biggest-net act (the band, $807.60) is actually the below-target one at $52.10/hr, while solo work pays $101.79/hr.
– Roll-ups by act AND by venue: which band deserves your weekends, and which room — the sample’s repeat venue pays $101.79/hr across 2 gigs — deserves a standing booking.
– Tax set-aside and the business around the music: your example % of net totalled for you, a categorized expense log (strings, gear maintenance, rehearsal space), and a zero-based monthly budget.

What’s inside (.xlsx, works in Excel AND Google Sheets):
– Start Here — plain-English setup + your settings (target effective $/hr, your cost per mile as an EXAMPLE setting, tax set-aside %)
– Gig Log — 12 gig rows: date, venue, band/act, fee, your split %, travel miles, gear/backline, other costs → your gross, your net, total hours, effective $/hr
– Act Summary — automatic roll-ups by band/act and by venue: gigs, your gross, your net, hours, effective $/hr, vs-target flags
– Expense Log — business spending, categorized (strings & consumables, gear maintenance, rehearsal space…)
– Monthly Budget — zero-based, Budget vs Actual fills itself
– Dashboard — total fees, your gross, your net and blended rate on one screen
– Monthly Summary — spending by month, Jan–Dec

Instant download. Yellow cells are yours to type in; every formula cell is locked (password sheetdaily, shown in Start Here) so nothing breaks by accident. Sample gigs are pre-filled so you can see the math working — replace them with your own. The per-mile cost is your own example setting, not an official rate.
