HSA Triple-Tax-Advantage Tracker (US)

Original price was: $24.95.Current price is: $16.95.

An HSA does three jobs — money in untaxed, growth untaxed, money out untaxed for medical costs — and it fails quietly at all three when nobody is watching the details: a year you drifted over the contribution limit, a receipt you never kept, a pile of expenses you paid from your own pocket and forgot you could reimburse later. This tracker watches exactly those three things.

First, the limit check. Each year’s money in — yours and your employer’s — is set against that year’s limit, pre-filled as an EXAMPLE from the IRS published figures for the year named (family coverage: $7,750 for 2023, $8,300 for 2024, $8,550 for 2025, $8,750 for 2026, per IRS releases). The sample is honest about failure: 2024 went $200 OVER its limit and the sheet flags it red with the excess printed, because catching that in October is a different problem from catching it at tax time. Every limit is a yellow cell — verify yours against the current IRS figures and replace them; the checks recompute from whatever you type.

Second, the shoebox. The expense log records each medical cost in your own words — the sheet never decides whether an expense qualifies, and it says so; that categorisation stays yours. What it tracks is reimbursement and receipts: of the sample’s $2,064.25 of expenses, $550.75 is already reimbursed and $1,513.50 sits unreimbursed (the shoebox — money you can claim later, which is the whole point of letting the account grow), and one $356.00 expense has NO receipt kept, counted and totalled where you can see it.

Third, the split and the illustration. Contributions of $30,300.00 less the $550.75 reimbursed leaves $29,749.25 still in the account. An illustration tab-side block grows that balance at an EXAMPLE 6% with $6,000 a year added, reaching $456,867.09 in 25 years — labelled an example path, never a forecast.

What it does for you:
– Checks every year’s contributions against that year’s EXAMPLE IRS limit and flags over-limit years in red, excess printed
– Logs medical expenses in your words with reimbursed status and a receipts-kept flag on every row
– Totals the shoebox — unreimbursed expenses you can claim later — and the no-receipt pile separately
– Shows the invest-vs-spend split: what stayed in the account vs what you carried yourself
– Adds a clearly-labelled EXAMPLE growth illustration from your actual balance
– Plus expense log (the household one), zero-based monthly budget, dashboard and monthly summary

What’s inside (.xlsx, works in Excel AND Google Sheets):
– Start Here — setup steps and the EXAMPLE limit settings (IRS published figures, named by year — verify and replace)
– Contributions by Year — 2023–2026 pre-filled, one year deliberately OVER its limit so you can see the flag work
– Expenses & Growth — expense & receipt log, the split, and the growth illustration
– Expense Log, Monthly Budget, Dashboard, Monthly Summary

Instant download. Type only in the yellow cells — formula cells are locked (password: sheetdaily, disclosed on the Start Here tab so you can unlock if you ever need to). Sample years are pre-filled so you can see exactly how it works; clear the yellow cells and type your own. Tracking tool only — not tax advice; whether an expense qualifies is your determination (or your tax adviser’s), never this sheet’s.
