HMRC Time-to-Pay Tracker (UK)

Original price was: $21.95.Current price is: $13.95.

A Time to Pay arrangement is a promise with two ways to break: miss an instalment and HMRC can cancel the arrangement and ask for the full balance; run past the agreed term and you are renegotiating from weakness. This tracker watches both. Your agreement figures project the balance month by month to its payoff date, the agreed-term check compares the projection against the term HMRC actually agreed, and the payment log turns honest the moment a payment is missed — while there is still time to phone HMRC and fix it.

What it does for you:
– Start Here — 5-minute setup: the tax owed, your monthly instalment, the agreed term in months and the first payment date, all copied from your TTP agreement. The interest rate is a yellow example cell — HMRC charges late payment interest at the Bank of England base rate + 4%, so enter the rate from your own HMRC statement and update it if it moves.
– Payment Schedule — month by month: interest accrues on the opening balance, the instalment lands, the closing balance calculates itself, and the final (smaller) payment stops the schedule at exactly £0.
– Payment Log & Risk — log every Direct Debit as it leaves. Missed payments are counted in the open, the ARRANGEMENT RISK line reads your record (ON TRACK / CAUTION / HIGH), and the agreed-term check states INSIDE or OVER the term HMRC agreed.
– Dashboard — projected months vs agreed term, payoff date, total interest and the total cost of the debt at a glance.
– Expense Log & Monthly Budget — a zero-based budget with Council Tax and an HMRC Payment category, so the instalment is funded like the bill it is.
– Monthly Summary — 12 months of instalments in one view.
– Sample rows pre-filled (£6,200 owed at an example 7.5% interest, £210/month against a 36-month agreed term: clear in 33 months — inside the term — payoff 1 Jul 2029, £675.37 of interest) so every formula works the moment you open it; formula cells are locked (password disclosed in Start Here) and every formula is error-wrapped. A tracking and planning tool, not tax or financial advice — if a payment will be missed, contact HMRC before the due date.

What’s inside (.xlsx, works in Excel AND Google Sheets): Start Here · Payment Schedule (interest, month by month) · Payment Log & Risk (missed-payment + agreed-term checks) · Expense Log · Monthly Budget (zero-based) · Dashboard · Monthly Summary (12 months).
