Every crypto tracker with a live feed has the same failure mode: the feed breaks, the API changes, the coin gets renamed — and your records go with it. This tracker takes the opposite deal, and says so on its cover: MANUAL ENTRY. No API, no live prices, no claim of any. You type the prices; a “last updated” date you set yourself tells future-you exactly how stale they are.
The sample portfolio shows what the honesty buys. Six coins worth $106,882.50 on $91,459.00 of cost basis — up $15,423.50 (+16.9%) overall. And underneath the comfortable total, the losses are printed in red, not averaged into invisibility: Solana is down $4,857.50 (−19.4%) and Cardano down $480.00 (−6.5%), each flagged by the sheet itself. A tracker that hides its losers is a story you tell yourself, not a record.
The concentration flag watches the other failure mode: Bitcoin is 38.3% of the sample portfolio — over the EXAMPLE 35% threshold — so the flag fires, in words, on the holdings tab. The threshold is your setting; change it and the flag re-judges instantly. There is a stablecoin row priced at $1.00 for the cash corner, because that is part of a real portfolio too.
The Transactions tab is the memory: every buy and sell with its date and price — $83,558.00 of buys, $1,650.00 of sells, $81,908.00 of net cash invested in the sample. Holdings are a snapshot; the log is the story, and it is the tab your tax-season self will thank you for.
What it does for you:
– Tracks value, cost basis, gain/loss $ and % and portfolio share per coin — from prices you type
– Prints losses in red with sheet-level flags; the losers never hide inside the total
– Fires a concentration flag when one coin passes YOUR example threshold (38.3% vs 35% in the sample)
– Carries a “last updated” date you set, so stale prices confess their age
– Logs every trade with totals for buys, sells and net cash invested
– Adds a trading-cost expense log, zero-based monthly budget, dashboard and 12-month summary
What’s inside (.xlsx, works in Excel AND Google Sheets):

Instant download. Type only in the yellow cells — formula cells are locked (password: sheetdaily, disclosed on the Start Here tab so you can unlock if you ever need to). Sample portfolio is pre-filled so you can see exactly how it works; clear the yellow cells and type your own. Planning tool only — not investment or tax advice; cost basis here is a simple average of what you type, and exchanges and tax rules have their own methods.
