A bridal shower has three money problems, and they are all small enough to start arguments: the party itself, the cost hiding inside the guest count, and the split between the people hosting. This planner handles all three in one file — the host’s budget, the per-guest number, and who actually owes what.
The party is seven lines: venue/home setup, food & drink, cake, decor, games & prizes, favours, invitations. Each is held against its own budget, and the total against YOUR host budget. The sample is honest about how showers actually go: decor creeps $14 OVER its line ($124 against $110) while the party total — $829 against an $880 line budget and a $900 host budget — stays under. One red line, no drama, fixed early.
The guest count gets its own number: $34.54 per guest. When someone suggests adding six more names, that is the figure that prices the suggestion.
Then the split. Showers are rarely one person’s bill, so the co-host tab divides the ACTUAL total by share % — uneven shares are fine. The sample runs 50 / 30 / 20 across the maid of honour and two bridesmaids: Maya and Jess are square; Priya paid $100 of her $165.80 share and is flagged STILL OWES $65.80, with the amount printed next to her name. The awkward message becomes a screenshot instead of an argument.
What it does for you:
– Budgets the 7 shower lines against a total host budget YOU set
– Flags any line that creeps over — even when the party total stays under
– Computes cost per guest (actual and at budget) for guest-list decisions
– Splits the ACTUAL total between co-hosts by share % — uneven splits welcome
– Names who is square, who overpaid, and who still owes (and exactly how much)
– Adds a planning expense log, zero-based monthly budget, dashboard and 12-month summary

Instant download. Type only in the yellow cells — formula cells are locked (password: sheetdaily, disclosed on the Start Here tab so you can unlock if you ever need to). Sample party is pre-filled so you can see exactly how it works; clear the yellow cells and type your own. Planning tool only — and not a ruling on who should pay for a shower; that conversation belongs to the hosts, before the shopping starts.
