Stop guessing which store is actually cheapest. This Family Grocery Budget Planner combines a real grocery price book with a full family budget system: log what you pay per item at every store, and the spreadsheet converts units automatically (oz vs lb, ml vs L), flags the cheapest store per item with a ✓ BEST marker, and feeds everything into your weekly budget, shopping list, and monthly savings tracker.

What it does for you:

Grocery Price Book — 50 log rows with automatic unit-price calculation and unit normalization (oz/lb, ml/L), so package-size tricks can’t fool you.
✓ BEST flag per item — the cheapest store for every item is flagged automatically with green highlighting; the cheapest store feeds straight into your Shopping List.
Price-spread tracker — per-item gap between your most and least expensive store, with data bars; the Dashboard names your single biggest saving opportunity.
Weekly Grocery Budget — 8 grocery categories; spent pulls automatically from the Spend Log; red OVER flags when a category runs hot.
Smart Shopping List — best known unit price and cheapest store pull in automatically; Trip Total counts only checked items.
Spend Log — 60 receipt rows that feed the Weekly Budget, Dashboard, and Savings Tracker — one source of truth.
Dashboard — month selector, budget vs spent, biggest saving opportunity, spend-by-store table, and a budget-vs-spent bar chart.
Savings Tracker — 6 months of budget vs actual with a running savings total.
