A cleaning business is worth what repeats. This tracker is built around the recurring client roster: who comes back every week, every two weeks, every month — what each of those clients is worth per month, and how much of the month’s income would still be there if the one-off jobs stopped calling.
It is not a per-job costing sheet — per-job costing is a different tool for a different question. This one follows the roster and the log: the roster turns each client’s typed frequency into monthly income (the conversions are printed on the Start Here tab — Weekly = 4.33 cleans a month, 52 / 12; Biweekly = 2.17, 26 / 12 — no hidden assumptions), and the income log rolls the month’s completed cleans into recurring and one-off income, printed separately.
The sample roster runs 6 clients — 4 recurring, 2 one-off. The biggest single source is a biweekly client, Client A at $260.00 a clean, worth $564.20 a month — 37.7% of the roster, printed by name. Client D is marked Inactive: still on the roster, still in the roster count, excluded from the $1,495.15 monthly total. The sample month’s log holds 12 cleans and $1,930.00 — $1,380.00 recurring against $550.00 one-off — so the recurring share prints at 71.5% of the month’s income, from the log’s own rows.
HOW IT WORKS
– ‘Client Roster’: one row per client — client in your own words, clean type (Recurring / One-off in your own words), frequency, price per clean, status. Monthly income per client = price x cleans per month, from the conversions printed on Start Here.
– ‘Income Log’: the cleans you actually completed this month — date, client, clean type, amount — rolled into total, recurring and one-off income with the recurring share printed.
– The roster-health block: active vs inactive clients, the recurring share of monthly income, and your single biggest client by name with their share %.
WHAT’S INSIDE
– A recurring client roster with frequency-to-monthly-income arithmetic, conversions in the open
– An income log that splits recurring vs one-off income and prints the recurring share (sample: 71.5%)
– Roster health: active / inactive counts, biggest client named with their share (sample: 37.7%)
– Inactive clients kept in the count and out of the income — no silent deletions
– Plus the standard Expense Log, zero-based Monthly Budget, Dashboard and Monthly Summary tabs
Every price per clean in this workbook is an example setting you type — the sheet sets no prices and recommends nothing.
How it works: the seven tabs are Start Here (your settings + step-by-step), the two feature tabs, Expense Log, Monthly Budget (zero-based), Dashboard and Monthly Summary. Yellow cells are the only places you type — every yellow value is your own entry. Formula cells are locked (password: sheetdaily, disclosed on the Start Here tab) and every formula is error-wrapped, so an untouched sheet reads blank instead of showing error codes. Instant download, ready for Excel and Google Sheets.
A note on the sample data: every price and date in this workbook is example data, typed in by hand to show you how the sheet behaves. Replace it with your own.
