Disney World Vacation Budget Planner

A Disney World trip is won or lost in the budget, months before anyone boards a plane. This planner does the three jobs that decide it: a category budget that compares what you plan to spend with your own researched estimates, a savings fund that counts down from dates you type, and a per-day allowance plan for the trip itself.

Please read this first: this is an unofficial planning spreadsheet. It is not made by, affiliated with or endorsed by Disney, and it contains no Disney artwork, logos or characters. Every ticket, hotel and food price in it is an example number typed in by hand — replace each one with the current price from official sources before you book anything.

The sample family (a party of 4, 5 days) is honest about where trips leak: food is estimated OVER its budget by $150, the hotel comes in UNDER by $50, and the trip total runs $120 over the budgeted total — printed as it stands. With $2,150 saved and 20 weeks left from the sample check date, the weekly set-aside works out to $153.50.

HOW IT WORKS
– ‘Trip Budget’: type Budgeted (what you want to spend) and Estimated (your researched figure) per category — tickets, hotel, food, transport, souvenirs, plus add-on rows you name yourself, in your own words. The status column prints OVER or UNDER BUDGET per category. No paid feature is presented as a fact anywhere in this file.
– The savings-fund block takes its goal from your estimated total, reads the amount saved and the check date and trip date you typed on Start Here, counts the days and weeks remaining (nothing uses the real today’s date), and works out the weekly set-aside still needed.
– ‘Per-Day Plan’: label each day in your own words, type a food and extras allowance for the whole party, and see per-person splits from your party size. Cross-checks confirm the daily allowances add up to the category estimates — the sample’s food allowances total exactly the $1,250 food estimate.

WHAT’S INSIDE
– Category budget vs estimates with plain OVER/UNDER statuses (sample: $5,100 budgeted vs $5,220 estimated)
– Savings fund with weeks remaining and a weekly set-aside ($153.50 a week over 20 weeks in the sample)
– Per-person and per-day figures throughout ($1,305 per person; $261 per person per day in the sample)
– A per-day plan whose totals cross-check against the budget
– Plus the standard Expense Log, zero-based Monthly Budget, Dashboard and Monthly Summary tabs

How it works: the seven tabs are Start Here (your settings + step-by-step), the two feature tabs, Expense Log, Monthly Budget (zero-based), Dashboard and Monthly Summary. Yellow cells are the only places you type — every yellow value is your own entry. Formula cells are locked (password: sheetdaily, disclosed on the Start Here tab) and every formula is error-wrapped, so an untouched sheet reads blank instead of showing error codes. Instant download, ready for Excel and Google Sheets.

A note on the sample data: this is an unofficial planning spreadsheet — it is not made by, affiliated with or endorsed by Disney, and it contains no Disney artwork, logos or characters. Every ticket, hotel and food price in it is example data typed in by hand; replace each one with the current price from official sources before you book anything.
